Having spent the New Year at Mercury Bay Holiday Park, I can confidently say that this hidden gem is a splendid choice for families and individuals alike. The cleanliness of the park struck me immediately, reflecting that subtle touch of care - something I appreciate, given my past as a food critic. The friendly staff quickly made us feel at home, offering a warm welcome as we settled into our spacious chalet, which came complete with a kitchenette for our culinary experiments. The amenities catered perfectly to our family's needs, particularly the children's playground and the seasonal outdoor pool, where my sons splashed about while my husband and I ensconced ourselves in leisurely BBQ meals, soaking up the lovely scenery the park has to offer. The handy laundry facilities were a lifesaver after our beach outings. With Whitianga's town centre just 400 metres away, it was the ideal location for sightseeing and exploring the area's stunning natural beauty. Mercury Bay Holiday Park allowed us to unwind, laugh, and create memories - a perfect blend of family fun and comfort, despite some unpredictable weather. If you're planning a group retreat, this spot is truly worth considering!
